CTV participated in the 4th International Conference on Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR), held June 10 – 12, in Milano, Italy. As part of the upscaling panel and within the poster session, insights into the challenges and opportunities of scaling innovative carbon removal approaches were given, with a focus on marine and electrochemical CDR pathways.
Dominik Groh presented “Challenges in Comparing Carbon Dioxide Removal Costs and Efficiencies”, highlighting the importance of robust evaluation frameworks to compare the performance, scalability, and costs of emerging CDR technologies, including marine and electrochemical approaches.
Natalie Rosen showcased “Thermodynamic Data of Aqueous Electrolytes for Scale-Up and Assessment of CDR”, emphasizing the role of reliable thermodynamic data in advancing electrochemical processes for carbon removal.
Through these contributions, CTV continues to support the development of science-based solutions for durable carbon dioxide removal within the initiative Carbon Sink Bavaria.
