CTV had the privilege of hosting this year's Annual Symposium on Process Design, held from September 29 to October 1 in Straubing.
The event brought together colleagues from the Laboratory of Process Engineering at Ulm University and the Laboratory of Reaction and Fluid Process Engineering at the RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau for three days of scientific exchange and networking.
The symposium featured a broad range of presentations on topics including sustainable process design, carbon capture technologies, and advanced modeling and simulation methods. Contributions from CTV included talks by Prof. Burger and team members Lukas Winklbauer and Dominik Groh, showcasing recent research progress in Direct Air Capture, synthetic fuel production, and electrochemical carbon removal.
As part of the program, participants also visited VTA Verfahrenstechnik Anlagen GmbH & Co. KG in Niederwinkling, gaining insights into industrial applications of thermal process engineering.
The symposium once again highlighted the three departments' shared commitment to advancing innovative and sustainable solutions in process engineering.
