Research assistant Aparna Muraleedharan represented the Laboratory of Chemical Process Engineering this year at the Annual Meeting on Process, Apparatus, and Systems and Systems Technology (Jahrestreffen “Prozess-, Apparate- und Anlagentechnik”), hosted by DECHEMA (Deutsche Gesellschaft für chemisches Apparatewesen) on November 20-21 in Frankfurt am Main.

Muraleedharan kicked of the “Digitalization” portion of the program with her presentation titled Deep Learning on Sparse Chemical Process Data, which outlined her research on improving the utility of artificial intelligence in the chemical industry. The event also provided opportunities for networking among researchers and industry professionals in Germany.
