The new podcast series “Sustainability. Time to Change” presented by TUM Institute for LifeLong Learning, dives into the work of our TUM community and shares their vision of how their work can help to improve the world we live in. In the first mini-series which will air over the next couple of weeks, the podcast hosts John Pye and Thomas Münch of TUM Institute for LifeLong Learning talk with their guests about the topic: “Sustainability. Time to Change.”
Bayerischer Rundfunk reported on 22 October in its television program Abendschau about the research at CTV concerning the miniplant for production of the synthetic fuel OME.
Synthetic fuels such as OME can significantly reduce CO2 emissions while making combustion cleaner. At the Straubing Campus for Biotechnology and Sustainability of the Technical University of Munich (TUM), engineers are demonstrating the production of OME as an alternative to diesel fuel in a newly constructed demonstration plant.
