Members of the Laboratory of Chemical Process Engineering took part in this year’s Symposium for Process Design on September 24-27 in Frankenstein. The symposium is an annual meeting with the Laboratory of Thermal Process Engineering at Ulm University and the Laboratory of Reaction and Fluid Process Engineering at the University of Kaiserslautern-Landau, with the aim of presenting current research and fostering collaboration among the departments.

This year’s symposium included cross-departmental seminars on topics including process modelling, control systems, artificial intelligence in chemical engineering, and vital literature for process engineers. In addition, the departments took place in a team-building hike within Frankenstein’s mountain range and an excursion to the BASF SE headquarters in Ludwigshafen.
